From April 2022 to March 2023 Canadians’ expenditure on cannabis ($4.7 Billion) surpassed that of ciders and coolers ($2.1 Billion), indicating evolving consumer preferences.

  • Inhaled extracts witnessed a staggering leap of 59.0%.
  • Solid edibles and cannabis-infused beverages followed suit with robust increases of 27.0% and 25.9%, respectively.
  • Ingested extracts and dried cannabis products also saw notable upticks at 7.6% and 5.8%.
  • However, ‘Other’ cannabis products experienced a notable decline of 59.9%.
From April 2022 to March 2023 the Canadian Cannabis Industry outpaced the ciders and coolers market, with a growth of 4.7 Billion.

On average, a legal-age Canadian spent approximately $150 on cannabis during the specified timeframe, which underscores the significance of the Cannabis Industry within the Canadian economy.
