Smoking the Competition with Le’Veon Bell

Despite not playing since 2021, Le’Veon Bell continues dominating headlines advocating cannabis.

Le’Veon Bell was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 2013 NFL draft. After a breakout second season, Bell went on to play for the New York Jets, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Baltimore Ravens and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with accolades that include; being a 3X Pro Bowl recipient in 2014’16 and 17, a 2X Second-Team All-Pro recipient in 2016’17 and received First-Team All-Pro honours in 2014.

Reflecting on his career with the Steelers, Bell opened up about his consumption on the field;

“Before the games, I’d smoke and I’d go out there and run for 150 [Yards], two [Touchdowns]…”

Shifting the narrative, retired and active NFL athletes are driving cannabis research forward and creating unique products to assist athletes on their health and wellness journeys.
